OPRN 2026 Annual Conference
Prospect Development in a Changing World

Friday, April 17, 2026  |  9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

At our 2026 conference, we are excited to welcome Ashby and his handler Sharon from the Buckeye Paws Program for a visit from 12:15 to 12:45 in the registration area.

Ashby

Ashby is a sweet and gentle Golden Retriever. He was born on August 3, 2016 in California and moved to Columbus, Ohio when he was 3 months old. He was named after Ashby Lake in Ontario, Canada, where he enjoys going to vacation at his family's cottage - he loves to swim and play fetch in the water! His favorite toy is his green snake. He absolutely loves all humans and dogs and is in heaven when he gets to cuddle and be petted. Ashby's handlers are Sharon and Brian.

About Buckeye Paws

Founded in March 2020 to promote the mental and emotional health of staff and faculty at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Buckeye Paws provides support and comfort through visits with certified therapy dogs. In 2022, Buckeye Paws expanded to assist students, faculty and staff throughout The Ohio State University. Buckeye Paws handlers are employees of the medical center or university that volunteer their time outside their roles and are trained in Trauma Informed Care and Mental Health First Aid.
